As a reminder, if you are having ANY work done on the water supply line on your property, it is mandatory that OBWD be notified at 508-693-5527 BEFORE work begins and proper protocols be followed. It is now a Federal Offense to tamper with public supply in any way.
All contractors are being notified of this regulation and are now required to be approved by the district and in certain cases be bonded and insured to OBWD. Renewal/Relocation applications can be found on the web site or picked up at the office.
Please discuss this requirement with your contractor prior to hiring them. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in ensuring a safe drinking water supply.
